Sharon Bernice Basham

Sharon Bernice Basham passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024. She was born January 16, 1943,

in Terre Haute to William P. Stout and Alice O. Chatham. She was retired from Great Scot and Locust St.

IGA Supermarkets. Survivors include her husband, Don Basham; daughter, Kim McIntyre; sons,Tim Taylor and his wife Donna, Tracy

and Stacy Taylor; stepson, Spencer; and stepdaughter, Debbie. She also leaves behind several

grandchildren and great grandchildren, including one special great granddaughter she helped raise,

Haley Carter, who gave birth to a great-great grandson, Oliver, just days before she passed. She is also

survived by two nieces, Nancy Gardner and Sis Brownson (and husband Bob). She was preceded in

death by her parents; a daughter, Rene Carter; sister, Bertha Chastain; and grandsons, Travis Taylor and

Robbie Carter. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:00p.m. in

Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.  Visitation will be from 12:00p.m.

until service time.
