Sharon Pattison Obituary

Sharon Adelman, formerly Sharon Pattison, 81, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. She was born on May 16, 1943, in Terre Haute, to Henry and Geraldine (Pincus) Adelman.

Survivors include her two sons, Scott (Penny) Trilling of Bloomington, IN, and James Trilling of Arlington, VA, and three grandchildren, Jordan, Kendall, and Kyle Trilling. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sharon lived in Terre Haute for most of her life and was active in the community. She graduated from Wiley High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She retired as an Area Manager from Manpower, where she led a large staff in twelve offices in Indiana and Illinois, including in Terre Haute, Bloomington, Lafayette, and Evansville. Her twenty-seven year career at Manpower included frequent awards for achieving excellent sales and performance results. She was known throughout the company and the markets she served for her strong worth ethic, loyalty, leadership, consistency, and customer service focus. Many of her professional relationships turned into her most treasured lifelong friendships.

Sharon participated in a variety of organizations. She held numerous leadership positions, including service on the boards of directors of the Terre Haute Area Chamber of Commerce, United Way of the Wabash Valley, and Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of the Wabash Valley. She was a past member of the Terre Haute Rotary Club and P.E.O. Chapter K.

She enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally, visiting the beach, spending time in the sun, reading, and playing cards. Above all, she loved being with family and her large circle of friends.

Private graveside services were held in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Greiner Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sharon Adelman Fund at the Wabash Valley Community Foundation, 200 South 8th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807.
