Shelly Shyann Winston Nelson

Shelly Shyann Winston Nelson, 16, of Terre Haute, IN went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Shelly is the second child born to Marcel Nelson Sr. and Kelly Winston on July 12, 2003.

Shelly is an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the youth choir. Shelly loved her music.

Shelly enjoyed school and was a student at Terre Haute North Vigo High School. She enjoyed the after-school program at the 14th and Chestnut Community Center, where she has attended since she was in kindergarten.  At the center she enjoyed the Drama Club, Youth Group, visiting the elderly at the nursing homes, and attending the Indiana State University Women’s Basketball games with Mrs.  Emma Jean Neal.

Shelly leaves to cherish her memory, both parents, two brothers, Marcel Nelson and Tre’Cel Winston, and one sister, Kaylee Nelson all of Terre Haute, her grandmother, Linda Harper of East Chicago, IN, grandfather Mack (Charlie) Nelson of Terre Haute, IN and a host of relatives and friends.  Shelly was preceded in death by her grandfather, Calvin Winston and grandmother, Rosemary Brown.

Services for Shelly Nelson will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 1 pm. Visitation is scheduled from 12 noon until service time. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
