Sherry Joan Lang

Sherry Joan Lang, 57, entered the house of the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. Services will be held Monday, May 6, 2024 at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with services following at 1:00 p.m. Procession following services to Highland Lawn Cemetery.

Sherry was born April 4, 1967 to Leilani Lang. Sherry graduated from Terre Haute North High School in 1985, then continued her education at Indiana State University, completing Graduate School in 1993. She was a dedicated worker and a strong independent woman, like her mother. She worked at Boston Connection for many years. She was passionate about HR. She was Executive Director of Human Resources working with Womack Restaurants for 16 years. She was enthusiastic about entrepreneurship, opening her own small business Eye Envy, Lash & Brow Studio, Salon & Spa. Most recently she worked as Director of Human Resources with Advics.

Sherry had a magical spark about her. Her warm personality lit up the room and she was easily the life of the party. You couldn’t help but love her personality. She never met a stranger! Her friends and family were her pride and joy, especially her daughter Emersyn, whom she raved about often. She was quick to go above and beyond to help anyone in need, without being asked. She did it with grace and poise,  like no one else could. She often said life is short, be who you are and own it. And that, she absolutely did. 

Her family and friends were blessed by her presence and she will be greatly missed.  She is surrounded by love and thoughtful memories as she makes her journey home to our Lord and Savior.

Sherry was proceeded in death by her grandparents, Marjorie and Charles Cannon, her mother, Leilani Lang and her uncle,  Stephen Steadman. She is survived by her daughter, Emersyn Lang, her brother, Darin R. Lang (Sabrena), her niece, Sierra Gossett (Joe), nephew Darin M. Lang, great nephew Roman Gossett, great niece, Marlow Gossett, cousins: Stevanne Steadman (Matt), Lisa Parmeter (Ryan) and Doug Steadman (Rose). Second cousins: Tyson Steadman, Colt Parmeter, Bodhi Parmeter and Faith Steadman. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, May 6, 2024, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, from 11:00a.m. until service time.
