Steven Ray Downing

Steven Ray Downing, born May 24,1964 went to be with the lord on September 9th,2024 Steve had a great passion for music, attending concerts, hanging out on the beach & model cars. Enjoyed watching nascars Jeff Gorden was his favorite. Steve had great taste & loved decorating for the Holidays & spending time with family. Steve was a member of the Terre Haute South Vigo Marching Band & hand a huge circle of friends who loved him dearly. Steve worked in IT for over 40 years & had a great knowledge of computers, he was as intelligent as they came & could always be counted on to help others in need. Steve was a comical man who would carry a smile on his face no matter the situation , he could bring an entire room to tears in laughter & had a contagious laugh that will be missed immensely but never forgotten. Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents Leon & Margaret Blakey , Walter & Ellen Downing, father Raymond Downing, step father Richard Monninger, lifelong friend & roommate Rodney Damm, nephew Kenneth Sims Jr. Great nephew Aiden Northcutt, and Steve's beloved dog Hannah. Steve is survived by his mother Mary Jane Monninger, sister Melissa Sims (Kenny) uncle John & aunt Nancy McClintock, cousin Mike McClintock (Amy), niece Kandi Northcutt (Richard), Alexis Sims (Lance), nephews Kyle Sims (Paige), Peyton Sims (Alyssa), great nephew Gage (Brianna), Sebashtian, James, Jonah, Desmond, great nieces, Haley, Kinsley, Presley, great great niece Ruby &  lifelong friend Pam McKay Malone.
