Teddie Rae Freeman, Born March 10, 1974, In Terre Haute, In. to Peggy Church Freeman and Ted Freeman, passed away peacefully of natural causes in her home on Sunday, April 13, 2025. She was surrounded by love and care, sharing her home with her devoted sister and caretaker, Shawna Dersch, whose support brought light and comfort to Teddie's life, even on the days Teddie gave her hell which we all know she was good at.
Teddie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Peggy and Ted Freeman; her grandparents, Teddy and Stella Freeman, William and Margaret Church, niece Kyleigh; and her dear sister, Patricia Joanne Freeman. She is a 1993 graduate of Terre Haute North High School; a great and proud accomplishment. She will be lovingly remembered for her kind heart and her delight in life’s simple joys. Teddie had a deep love for movies, with Matilda being her all-time favorite. She cherished her collection of baby dolls and was a devoted fan of Hello Kitty, which brought her endless happiness. She had a sharp and playful sense of humor; it brought her much delight anytime anyone would curse. She loved mischievously flipping people off to get a laugh. A firecracker through and through, Teddie’s spirited personality was a joy to the people who love(d) her.
Teddie leaves behind her loving siblings: Kandy Freeman Lauer and her spouse Jason, Shawna Freeman Dersch and her spouse Jackie, Cathy Noble, James "JD" Freeman and his spouse Brittany, and brother-in-law AJ Dersch. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews: Julie Bryan, Tonia Brady, Delaney Brady, Shelby Freeman, Lily "GG" Freeman, Boone Freeman, Mackenzie Ogle and her spouse Jason Ogle Jr., Noah, Brittnee Freeman, Dallas Freeman, Landon , Logan and Tori Dersch. Skyler, Joel, Maddison, and Delilah. Harley Seeling, Mike Keene and his spouse Tiffany, and Jason Keene and his spouse Desirae. Additionally, she is survived by her extended siblings, Chris Pitts and his spouse Stacy, and Holly Eaton. Her four-legged family members: Mable, Frank, Gemma, Diesel, Apolla, Ace, Macie Grace, Finley Joi, Zeus, and Lola. Her ex brother-in-law Shawn Brady and his wife Heather. She leaves behind many Aunts, uncles and cousins. Teddie was blessed with the love and compassion of her very special and beloved friend, Randy Webster, who held a special place in her heart. Teddie has always been surrounded by the unconditional love of so many devoted caretakers, extended family members and great friends.
Her warmth, humor, and lively spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her, leaving behind a legacy of love and treasured memories.
Visitation will be held at Union Baptist Church 4075 E Harlan Dr. Terre Haute, In. 47802 on Saturday April 26th from 1-3 pm with celebration of life and carry in at the same location directly after.
