Terry Wayne Rooksberry

Terry Wayne Rooksberry went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 4, 2020.  He was born on October 3, 1953 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Ralph Vernon and Ruth (Furnas) Rooksberry.  He married Candie (Meads) on November 3, 1979.

Terry spent most of his professional life as a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor at Indiana State University.  He retired early to become a sawyer with his own personal Woodmizer saw. He also recently became a Longhorn Cattle farmer.

He loved the outdoors, farming, and working with his hands.  

Terry was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister, Carolin Tincher, and a brother, Joseph Rooksberry.

He is survived by his five children; Terry (Melanie) Rooksberry, Keith (Mykelann) Rooksberry, Sabrina (Bryan) Burdick all of Terre Haute, Amy (Jeff) Niemeyer of Danville, IN., and Robyn (Chris) Mathas also of Terre Haute.  He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren; Terry, Heath (Brittany), Kaitlin (Collin), Carinne, Bailey, Rylee, Isaac, Sam, Nathan, Elijah, Elliot, and Oliver, and two great-grandchildren; Greyson and Marlena.

Visitation and services will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, with Jeff Niemeyer officiating the service to begin at 7:00. Military honors will be at 6:00p.m.
