Terry "Dink" Joe Simonson

Terry Joe Simonson “Dink”, 71, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away May 20, 2021.  He was born December 22, 1949 to Roy Frank Simonson and Audrey Maxine (Knapp) Simonson.  Dink retired from Bemis.  He also worked for the Indiana State Road Department.  He enjoyed fishing and going to casinos.  Most of all his passion was golf.  He played his whole life from the age of 13.  He made an innumerable amount of memories golfing, and also friends.  Dink is survived by his life partner of 33 years MaryLou Morris; his children Shawn Simonson (Becky) , Michael Simonson, Debbie Malone, and Chuck Morris (Jane); grandchildren Mikey, Chelsae, Halei, Joey, Savannah, Thomas (Adrea), Shane, Michael, Nick, Payton, Cameron, Kalee, and Matthew; great grandson Romie; sister Sherrie Slack; and brother Keith Simonson.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Phil Simonson (Donna); children Julie Lynch and Tina Morris; and son-in-law Charles “Bugsy” Malone.  Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 3:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. and also on Thursday from 12:00p.m. until service time.  If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice on Springhill Drive.
