Theresa C Roetker

Theresa Cecilia Roetker, 91, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday November 21, 2021 in her home away from home in Webster, NY surrounded by family.  Theresa was born in West Terre Haute, IN on November 21, 1930.  She was a graduate from Valley High and worked in payroll at the hospital for many years.  Theresa’s focus in life was being the best wife and mother to her Husband, John F. Roetker and son, Michael Roetker as well as her two stepsons, James F. Roetker and John J. Roetker who she cared for and raised as her own from a very young age.  She was a dedicated member of Saint Patrick Church and School, working in the alter society and soup kitchen for many years.  The Sycamore Country Club was also a big part of her life.  She loved Ladies’ Day, Bingo, and Men’s Night with all the people and stories to tell.  Theresa loved her family most of all.  She attended her grandchildren’s games, events, concerts always cheering them on and helping to direct the officiating from her sideline seat.  She was preceded in death by her parents Peter J. and Katherine J. Soltis, sisters Mary Katherine Holbert, Agnes Burnett, brother Michael Soltis, her first husband William Brown and her second spouse, John F. Roetker.  Theresa is survived by son, Mike Roetker with wife Beth and children Abby and Jack of Webster, NY, son Jim Roetker with wife Sally and children Lindsay and Becca of Terre Haute, IN, son Jack Roetker with wife Maggie and children Meredith and Kate of Louisville, KY.  Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday November 26, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804.  Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Saturday November 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick Church, 1807 Poplar St, Terre Haute, IN 47803, Father Ben Syberg will be officiating, burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 4227 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47803.  The family invites everyone to a reception at the Family Life Center at Saint Patrick School at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Theresa’s name to the Saint Patrick Soup Kitchen or other charity of your choice.  Online condolences may be made at  www.greinerfuneralhome.com
