Vicki Ann Ragle, 72, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, in Harrison
Crossings. Vicki was born July 19, 1953, in Terre Haute, to Emil G. Sotak and Norma
“Ruth” (Hunter) Sotak. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, John G. Ragle,
daughters Vanessa L. Prox and husband Bryan, Kristin J. Sullivan and husband Brian,
sister Jayne L. Sotak and Greg Wilson, father-in-law John W. Ragle, brother-in-law,
Greg N. Ragle, sister-in-law Lisa A. Murray, grandchildren Jack R. Prox, Chase R.
Sullivan and Charlotte V. Sullivan, and canine children and four-legged grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Ruth Sotak, sister Lisa S. Sotak,
and mother-in-law Barbara “Joann” Ragle. Vicki was an exceptional and loving
daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Vicki was a 1971 graduate of Garfield
High School where she had been a cheerleader, a member of the Trouveres and
became the last homecoming queen at Garfield. She then attended Indiana State
University where she continued with cheerleading and joined Chi Omega sorority. Vicki
was crowned Vigo County Fair Queen and then Indiana State Fair Queen in 1972. Vicki
had been a student of dance most of her life. She taught dance at Florence Cizek’s
dance studio, choreographed many Children’s Theater productions, and passed on her
love of dance to daughters and granddaughter. Vicki became a co-owner of Ragle &
Company, Inc. with her husband, John, which owns and manages commercial property.
Vicki was a member of the League of Terre Haute and passionately donated her time to
their dental program. Vicki will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her
willingness to go above and beyond for her family. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 26,
2025, from 4pm-7pm at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13 th St. Funeral services will be
Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 1pm with visitation starting at noon in the funeral home
with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to be made to Cross Tabernacle
Church (2929 N. 7 th St.) or Terre Haute Humane Society (1811 S. Fruitridge).
