Vicky Lynn Brenton, 69, of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in her home. Vicky was born January 16, 1950, in Terre Haute, to Harold Harbrueger and Betty Lou Norris Harbrueger.
She had formerly worked for Prudential and retired from Columbia House after 16 years of service.
She was a member of Mt. Aetna Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. After moving back to Terre Haute she attended Faith Outreach Family Church.
She enjoyed eating out and especially enjoyed a good tenderloin. She enjoyed playing games on her computer, the outdoors and camping with her husband. She also enjoyed watching crime shows and "Grey's Anatomy." Her favorite color was purple and she enjoyed collecting unicorns.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Estel Lee Brenton, who passed away in May of 2014. She was also preceded by a brother, Kevin Harbrueger; and a granddaughter, Kelsey Apfel. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Godbey and her husband Dwayne of Terre Haute; and a son, Micheal Apfel of Oklahoma. She is survived by a sister, Jane Smith and her husband Jim of Terre Haute; and three brothers, Richard Harbrueger and his wife Jane of Crothersville, Bill Harbrueger and his wife Betsy of Knightsville, and Charles "Ed" Harbrueger and his wife Lynn of Terre Haute. She is survived by grandchildren, Nathan Harney (Mandy), Clifford Godbey (Libby), Karyssa Burton (Tyler), Kody Apfel (Vanessa), Kimberly DuVall (Brandon) and Katelynn Apfel. She is survived by her special girl, Belle, her dog and loving companion. She is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as several stepchildren and extended family in Missouri.
Services are Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time, all at the funeral home. Pastor J.C. Neff will be officiating.
