William Carpenter Jr

William  Carpenter Jr., 77, of West Terre Haute, passed away October 19, 2021 in his residence. He was born May 5, 1944 in Terre Haute to William Carpenter Sr., and Ella Grayless Carpenter. He worked in Maintenance most of his life and was a race enthusiast, enjoying Indy and NASCAR racing. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Vicki Barnett Carpenter. He is survived by three sons; Robert Letner (Sondrea) of Kansas City, KS., John Greenlee (Margina) of Terre Haute, William Carpenter III (Kristin) of Terre Haute. He is survived by four daughters; Amy Trimble (Hank) of Terre Haute, Lisa Syed (Waqar) Terre Haute, Sheri Al-Ameri (Salah) of United Arab Emeritus, Billie Jo Drigders (Ginger) of Florida, Jami Draper (Kevin), Jeremy Spencer.   He is survived by one sister, Brenda Hendrix of Terre Haute as well and eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services are Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN. 47804. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
