William “Bill” Hamilton, 93, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday December 31, 2025 in his residence. Bill was born December 21, 1932, in Terre Haute to William Hamilton and Thelma Mae Dean Hamilton. Bill was retired from Stran Steel after 19 years and went on work in the Auto Body Industry. He worked for Frank Kleptz at his auto museum assisting with auto restoration, body and mechanical work until his retirement. He was a member of Union Christian Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed making wooden trains, working puzzles, bird watching and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Pauline Lemon and Betty Kneeler as well as two brothers, Don Hamilton and his twin brother, Wayne Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Joan McCain Hamilton, whom he married in 1954. He is survived by two daughters; Vicki Notter (Bill Alan) of Brazil, IN and Penny Boyll (Tony) of Terre Haute, he is survived by one son, Bill Hamilton (Denise) of Indianapolis, IN. Grandchildren include; Lisa, Joe, Michelle, Scott, Casey, Josh, Peter, Emily and Luke as well as thirteen great grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. Services are at 1:00 p.m. Thursday January 8, 2026 at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th St. Terre Haute, IN 47804.
