Wilma L. Greiner, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday April 22, 2020 surrounded by her family. Wilma was born May 29, 1933 in Vincennes Indiana to Fred G. Fremder and Anna Brown Fremder. She was a longtime member of Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church where she was the church organist and pianist for many years. She was a graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School where she lead the Marching Band as the Drum Majorette. She was a graduate of Vincennes University and a 1956 graduate of Indiana State University. While she was at Indiana State, she was cast in the radio program “Story Princess of the Music Box”. She was the winner of the Golden Rule Award for Volunteerism in 1994. She delivered meals for Meals on Wheels of Terre Haute for over 40 years and was a former Board Member. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, and her husband, Merle L. Greiner who passed away in January of 2000. She is survived by three children; Paula Greiner Fields and her husband Larry Feltz of Marion, Iowa, Geri Johnston and her husband Hal of Terre Haute, and Jeff Greiner of Brazil, IN. She is survived by a sister, Sue Fremder of Terre Haute, brother in-law Carroll Greiner of Terre Haute and a sister in-law Gloria Greiner of Riley. Grandchildren; Jerad Fields, Carissa Fields and her husband Jared Dowdell, Stephen Johnston, Wyatt Johnston, Parker Greiner, Levi Greiner and Sophie Jo Greiner. Step-grandchildren Josh (Misty), Rachel and Ben Feltz. Great grandchildren Ivory and David Feltz. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Julie Greiner Walters, Gary Greiner, Cheri Greiner Shepherd and Brad Greiner. Cremation is planned with private entombment at Highland Lawn Cemetery. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804 was entrusted with arrangements. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church or Meals on Wheels of Terre Haute.
