I am so sorry for your loss. Kenny had those "Old School" values and a heart of gold which made him very special. I would say RIP Kenny but we all know Kenny and Walt never rested. They were the best of friends and I'm sure they are together again.

Written by John E Primeaux

"We all know a great person that influences your life so profoundly that you consider their advice and wisdom as golden as your father's. This man is mine.

Big Kenny, as the neighborhood kids called him, was as genuine as you get. He always had a project going on in his shop. Those projects were almost always something us boys could help and learn from. Three times I went on vacation with them. Twice to Lake Charlevoix for mushroom hunting and once to Knoxville and Gatlinburg for the 1982 World's Fair.

His two sons, Kenny and Kevin, along with my own brother, Kenneth, were my best friends. I don't know how many times we got into some mischief, from third grade through high school. Their dad taught each of us the meaning of hard work, the reason to get so dirty it takes 2, sometimes 3 baths to get even close to clean.

I personally have to give him credit for my passion and ability to fix my own cars and equipment. If it weren't for him, I would be a lot poorer after all of the mechanic repair bills I would have paid over the years. He didn't replace my dad, but he definitely filled the void my dad left living 5 states away.

It is sad that he is gone, but I know his legacy will never go away. I get to teach my kids a lot of the love of cars and trucks he passed on to me. I wish all neighbors were more like Big Kenny. The world would be a much better place. The world is less bright now that he is gone. He will be missed, for certain."

...and I agree, respectfully!
Kenneth Primeaux
